I'm a M.A. student of Anthropology and German Literature at the University of Cologne and Research Assistant at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology. My main interests are anthropological and literary theory, museum and memory studies, poetics of ethnography and 20th century German literature. In my Bachelor thesis I analysed the network-like expression of the silk motif in W.G. Sebald's novel "The Rings of Saturn" (1995) in its structural, thematic and poetological dimension. For that I elicited anthropological moments and concepts that characterize the text as a representation, reflection, and compensation of the narrator's experience of alterity during his walk where he encounters the catastrophes of modernity haunting our today's present. Resulting out of a research project (2019/20), I produced a video work about the archive at the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum in Cologne, conceptualizing it as a 'Boundary Object' in the transitional moment of digitization. I'm looking forward to work on the projects and very happy to be part of the DECENTERING cooperation!
